Christmas Shopping Time

There is so much to do and so little time. The holidays are so filled with the hustle and bustle. We all need to stop and take a look at what is going on around us and be thankful and grateful for every precious moment we have with the people that are so dear to us and those who will become dear. So hug your mom and dad, brother or sisters, friends etc... Tell them how special they are to you not just today but every day of the year. The more you give, the happier you will be...

Christmas is on it's way...

Working on a custom order and something for a friend. It's been a little rainy but not to bad cold yet. Another Day

It's been another busy day, storms brewing outside and sewing machines going inside. We have some original purses and totes that should be finished in a couple of days. We also have started on Christmas stockings. Our tie dye stockings will be quite unique and hopefully enjoyable for all you tie dye enthusiasts. Lot's of new items coming out of the workshop over the next week or so. There are a few holiday party dresses that just need finishing touches and some scarf dresses that have been conjured too. Here it is Tuesday Again

Sometimes it seems time moves so quickly, then other times it's so slow you want to scream. I have managed to have both examples this week in a relatively short amount of time. I'm at least feeling a little better and trying to be productive and get things moving. We had to empty out the sewing room, mom was becoming overwhelmed by all the things we have been picking up to work on. I have designed several shirts and mom promises she will get them sewn up this evening for me. I suppose I could do it myself, but talk about slowing down time. I just don't know if my patience is up for that. I added a few new shirts over on my Etsy shop. I sent out a few special order tee's they came out well and now I need to make a decision about what to accomplish next. With the new space in Newport it is mostly jewelry, bags, antiques and baby tie dye so all of that needs to be caught up on. I need to get new stuff for my Etsy site, I'm also trying to get my stockings done for Christmas and a few party dress's designed. I guess I just need to get off my but and start doing something, so alas that is what I will do.

Monday, Monday,

Another Monday morning. Inspiration comes from the smallest things, the flash of light on a golden leaf, the glimmer of moonlight on the bay. Whatever inspires convert it to something tangible as quickly as possible. We are both feeling rather inspired and currently we are completing some scarf projects, hopefully they might be included in a how to book. I have posted pictures on my facebook page if your interested, none of the projects are complete to date but will be by the 15th for deadline submission. I hope life is treating everyone well as I am feeling so blessed everyday for my friends, family, all the little things that make me smile and just being alive.

Short Vacation

It's mom's birthday Thursday so it's off for a little fun. We finished up the orders we had online and are heading up to Seattle for some off time. A little shopping, some sight seeing, art museums and dinner with old friends. Should be a great couple of days. A few shots from the orders sent back east.

Hump Day

Well it started off rainy but it looks like it's going to clear up soon... I'm working on jackets and new shirts from Alternative Apparel for www.ziabird.com in North Carolina. I'm also work on a few one of a kind dress's mom came up with pretty interesting. We are also working on scarf clothes. We have taken scarfs and put together some interesting fashions for Lark Publishings new book I hope one might make it to print. Lot's of work coming up nd the beautiful fall season is upon us. Tuesday Morning

Well it's going to be a beauty out today. I've got a few things I completed last night and a few more I hope to get out today. The weather has been really beautiful, the beach keeps calling me to come frolic before the last few rays of summer sun disappear into winter. I really enjoy being this close to the ocean and relish everyday I'm given. Life is to short to linger, make the most of it. I'm off to work, then to play, then to nap. I'll list a few new shirts that either have already gone up over at my Etsy shop or that I will be listing in one of my shops.

Well seems I need to get back to work. The Labor Day Weekend was a bust didn't get anything done spent all weekend in bed. Oh well time to make some things. Mom has been good she has made several bags from vintage fabrics we have found through the years they turned out really well. There will also be some party dresses popping up pretty soon too. Check both websites out I will be adding to both. I'll threw up some pictures from my walk the other day it was so beautiful.

A little chilly this morning summer's not gone yet but she's on her way out. I know I'm strange but I am looking forward to the leaves changing, kicking some leaf piles around, hearing them crunch under foot. The colors are always so pretty.
Well mom has been busy, she has made a dress and several sweatshirts, the dress is up on Etsy right now. I'm going to be listing a bunch of the upcycled clothing on my www.nancysnaturalsllc.com site so watch for those. We will have new purses coming up too with recycled bits and pieces that should be interesting. I have the new fall colors up on my Facebook page showing the Palm Spring Slub Jacket in all it's glory. They are very nice jackets and I will be getting them up on my Etsy Site in the 4 colors shown if interested I can do them now they will be $50.00 so just drop me an email. Well off to the workshop,

After the Wedding

Thank goodness that's done with. Huge amount of time and energy into any wedding by all involved. I'm back in the workshop and cooking up a few interesting things. Just finished a large order of camo shirts for a hunt club in Florida, now on to some pretties for www.ziabird.com . I have some new Palm Spring Slub knit cotton jackets that will be available soon on my Etsy site and hopefully mom will come up with something out of the sewing room. It is so nice to role out of bed and go to work. I'm am such a happy camper life is good, keep smiling and sending out good vibes they always come back to you.

Hey Everybody,
I don't have much to post today because the wedding cake. I finished the grooms cake and the lower level of the wedding cake so I had a few minutes to rest so I'm just writing a quick note. The tote bag up above has moe and the other is Umphreys McGee I did this as a present for the best man they are 2 of my brothers and his friends favorite jam bands. I can't reproduce them for sale (copyrights and such) but there is a lot of other things I can reproduce for you on these great tote bags so drop me an email if interested. Saturday

A great day today, off to the farmers market this morning for a lunch of fresh corn on the cob and roasted beets. I've got a few new bags done and a few tees so I'll slap up some pictures. I got mentioned on www.ziabird.com Facebook fan page as one of the new fall line vendors stop by facebook and check it out. I'm going to be out of town most of the week for airport pickups and drop offs for my brothers wedding. I'm happy to say the wedding cake is almost done. I had no idea what a challenge it was going to be but we managed it. The work in the studio has really slacked off because of all the wedding stuff. I hope to be getting new listings daily on both websites the first week of September. I will also be doing a promotion for the sampler and hope to pick up a few stores and a little recognition from that. New colors coming to definitely going with fall colors I can't wait. Farmers Market Day

Every Saturday during the summer we have a great little farmers market in Newport. I just love buying organic and locally grown vegetable. Everything just tastes so good. Dropped off a new shipment at the antique booth in town and back home to work. Shipped out a pretty large shipment to http://www.ziabird.com/ all the fall colors with more to come. I am so excited to see how the new items are received. It also looks like I will be consigning in a new shop in New Jersey. I will keep you updated as to items and location. I'll attach a few new pix of what's coming out of the workshop.

Play Day

Well it was just to hot to work today. I did some tie dyeing last night for http://www.ziabird.com/ for the fall collection while it was cool. It heated back up today so we headed to the beach and went south down to Florence along the way we stopped at the heceta lighthouse and took a few pics. It was just glorious. I guess I'll go lay down in the hammock until it cools down a little then I'll hit the dye sink again tonight. I have included some pics from today.
