Well the blog post the other day seemed to have been a nice little introduction on Etsy. I had over 600 hits on my Saltlandia.etsy.com site and some sales were generated also, Yay...
For today I'm going to get my little smoker going and smoke some salt. I will also be replenishing my rosemary salt supply too. Then while my salt is smoking I will get back to my tie dye. I have some new colors I have mixed up and some new designs I have been working on so I will have photos for those in the next couple of days.
I will attach a few photos from the last few days, if you see something you like head over to nancystiedye.etsy.com and pick it up.
Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy

Pirates Plunder
See I'm back so soon. It's amazing what happens when you set an alarm and it tells you to do something.
Today I will be working on somethings for Pirates Plunder. Pirates Plunder is an antique/craft mall in Newport next to the aquarium. I have it filled about 75% right now and working on that last little bit. I have jewelry, t shirts, sweatshirts, hand drawn cards and a few antiques. I have a few sun dresses I'm going to dye today to stick down there and maybe some Ipad cases. I'm also patiently waiting for my shipment of phone cases so I can get them turned into original art works, they will also go in the booth. Make sure and stop by whenever you are in Newport.
This summer has been busy so far and it will probably get a lot busier but there will always be time to head to the beach.
Thanks
Nancy

Things New and Old
Well I have missed out on my blog here but will set a reminder on my phone so I will be more regular. Allowing my phone to take some of my cognitive load is ever so helpful and I'm hoping to find a little more time to do all the little things.
On to business, new stuff posted in Sheila's Attic. Sheila's Attic is our vintage finds, handmade clothes and miscellaneous art work, jewelry, etc... Nancy's Tie Dye will be just my tie dye nice and simple that way. Saltlandia is my salt infusions which will be rolled over into The Salt Distillery soon hopefully as soon as my agricultural license is taken care of. That is the lay of the land right now. Things do change and I will keep everyone up on what's going on. Right now I have some really cute dresses available at Sheila's Attic (see attached) We are also working on some maxi dresses which are just the longer version of our hippie dresses super cute for summer.
Well I'm off to go do some more work in the kitchen.
Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy

Saltlandia Opened
I decided to open another Etsy store why you may ask. Well I love making tie dye and clothes but I'm also a salt freak. I have bought all the fancy salts, finishing salts, salts from brazil, hawaii, etc... I love salt. I have been making my own rosemary salt for sometime and decided I would try selling it. I have several mixed and infused salts on my site now with more coming. I have vanilla sugar available and have a batch of homemade vanilla extracting now for sale around Christmas. Stop by Etsy and checkout Saltlandia I also have a few tie dye shirts available over on Nancystiedye too.
Thanks,
Nancy

Summer Time
Summer is upon us and I'm busy as a beaver. I have been crocheting quite a lot lately. I have made a blocky little shrug that looks great over tanks or sleeveless dresses. I also have a longer sleeve version I just completed also. I have lot's of other items going up in my shop so stop by and take a look.
Thanks,
Nancy

What a Lovely May
I have had a lot of fun the last couple of days working, a little spring cleaning, organizing the office. Surprisingly enough when a tie dyer office gets messed up it looks much like a clown throwing up in rainbow colors. Oh well, the life of a tie dyer. The farmers market was wonderful, eating such lovely food, sourced locally and organic such a treat. Well I have listed some new items over on my Etsy store and on Facebook so stop by both places and take a look.
Thanks
Nancy

Spring has Sprung!
Spring is in the air and bright colors are popping up all over the place. I have been working on getting a few orders out, a couple of customs for Australia and Tokyo then just getting some new things on the site. Check out the new blotchy tie dye they are a new technique done by layering the dye with the fixative so it adheres to the fabric differently. It has had some interesting results. I am also working with my partner (mom) to get some new designs in to the sewing room and soon into the dye baths for sale. So stay tune lot's more to come...
