Happy Independence Day

It's a beautiful day at the Oregon coast. We never know if it's going to rain or not and this year it's gorgeous out. Taking the family to the beach for fireworks, a picnic and some bike riding. Should be a red letter day. Well we have finally decided on a design for our halter dresses. I will put up a pic for you to take a look at. I also have done another custom v neck tee those dark blues and greens seem to be a favorite. I am going to have a new Alternative Apparel shirt available soon, along with some of there new dresses. There should be some really nice stuff coming out of the work room in the coming weeks. Please stop by and check out the new designs and new colors available.

Making New Clothes

Mom and I have been designing and making some prototypes for dresses. With the economy being what it is you would think that you could buy whatever you wanted at greatly reduced prices but some how that is not exactly happening. Suppliers are all carrying less product and charging more for what they have and discontinuing numerous styles to cut costs. So we are using repurposed fabric to make new designs. We hope to have some for viewing in a couple of days these will be sold through my website at Etsy and hopefully through Ziabird. Well I hope everyone is well and treating each other better.

Summertime

Well the weather is beautiful. I have been out in the garden and designing some new items that I hope to have prepared soon. It looks like I might have another boutique that will carry my line on the east coast. So lots of things going on and mom will be back to start finishing up a few things everything looks right on line. Working away while mom is off playing. While moms been gone I have been working on some new tees I'm going to be carrying the A line V neck Alternative Apparel. I have also been watching The Fashion Show and have some definite ideas about making some clothes so hopefully when mom (the seamstress) get's back I can have her convert some of my drawings to fashion. Well the workshop is calling off to go start on a new project.

Busy Busy

Well the shipment to Ziabird in North Carolina seems to be going well. Not much feedback from Kauai yet but I'm crossing my fingers. Sales for me seem to be up since I don't have a whole lot to compare to, the recession doesn't seem quite so bad right now. All in all things are looking up and I have been experimenting with custom colors and techniques and hope to have some pretty outlandish things available soon. I have attached some of the newer stuff.

Mom and I have also been delving into the art of deconstruction and making some interesting pieces out of our garage sale finds. Stop by and check out the new line of Boho bags we've made too.

Another Year Older

Well the last month has been very busy. I've been working on an exclusive line for The Studio in North Carolina to be featured in their grand opening. I am sending my best wishes for a strong opening. I have also been working on a line to be sold in Kauai.
