Beautiful Summer Time

So summer is in full swing and things have been so busy. Sales on nancystiedye.etsy.com and sheilasattic.etsy.com are moving right along and the sunshine is keeping the tomatoes growing so life is good.
I've been posting new listings for tie dye on nancystiedye most of the things on Sheilasattic are supplies or what mom has been making so we both have been getting some things done.  We have had lots of company and it is always so great to see everyone, catch up and get out and do some touristy things. Most of all just being able to stop take a breath and think about just how fortunate I am to be here, right now.  Life is wonderful stop and smell the roses, grab a tie dye, take a long sip of some perfect ice tea, and feel the sun.

Summers Coming...

I love summer. Everything about it, I can't wait to get out and play on the beach (and not freeze) have picnics and maybe a little camping.  So far I have been doing a little bit here and there for my Etsy shops sheilasattic.etsy.com , nancystiedye.etsy.com and helping out with myphonestyle.etsy.com .  So I have had lots of things to keep me busy.  I've also managed to get everything directing to my personal website at www.nancyyoder.com or www.nancystiedye.com .  I've enjoyed getting everything working but it's always been about the color for me so getting back to the artist portion of it and getting my hands in the dye is where I really enjoy myself so stop by and check out my stores or stop by on facebook at www.facebook.com/nancystiedye for some of the latest stuff.  I hope you'll stop by and get something bright and cheerful to enjoy your summer in.

A Lot

A Pop of Pink, a treasury on Etsy

So many things going on and I have neglected my blog.  I have been keeping busy with tie dye, iphone and galaxy cases along with a lot of other little projects.  I haven't made it out to the beach much lately but I'm hoping to rectify that with all the beautiful weather we have been having.  It seems summer has come early to the beautiful Oregon coast.  New tie dye going up at my Etsy stores and you can also stop by My tie dye store .

Happy Holidays

Well it's almost Christmas time.  10 more days to go.  As a retailer on Etsy the build up has been exhausting.  I have had a pen, a crochet hook, a blank tshirt or beads and wire in my hands constantly since October the first except when I'm actually at the office getting paid to work. Now the online shopping is slowing down as shipping will be harder to guarantee for Christmas. Now I can take a breath.  I'm so looking forward to getting out of town for a week or so and exploring San Francisco.  I've never had the opportunity to hang out and explore so I'm looking forward to it.  Things are about to quiet down for the winter and I can start working towards getting everything ready for spring. The life of an independent business owner sounds strange, never thought I would work for myself now I can't imagine not.  Life is funny that way.  Well Happy Holidays to one and all.

Thankful!

There are so many things to be thankful for friendship, love, abundance, beauty, etc... Each day is a present filled with bright beautiful color that tickles my spirit.  I haven't had much time for the beach but I'm thinking I need to take a break and take a walk here soon.  Lot's of things coming out of the workshop, well really its the work chair but eventually there might be a workshop. It doesn't matter much the clothes, the jewelry, the painting will continue to flow as long as my hands allow.  I'm at the office 3 days a week now which kind of eats up creative time but the lure of steady income is strong. Thank you to everyone who purchases an item it keeps the supplies coming to create more things. Autumn is here

Well I think its time to drag out the comforter and think about turning on the heat. It was a beautiful summer so nice and warm, but now I'm ready for the cooling weather and getting all my sweaters out. I've been so inspired to make shrugs and sweaters, lots of hats too. Stop by Sheila's Attic or Nancy's Tie Dye over on Etsy to see the latest editions to the fall line up. I have new yarn that is just waiting to be turned into something warm and fuzzy. Mom is going to be busy too, we have a bunch of upholstery scraps that are looking like purses and backpacks to me.

Getting Ready for Fall

Well the summer has been beautiful and warm, everything it should be. The swimming, the barbeques and all the things that make up summer. We had a great visit with family on vacation, friends down for the weekend and lots of other memorable summer happenings.All these things together make for such a wonderful life. Now the weather is starting to cool just a touch and fall is just around the corner, the colors and leaves waiting to explode in orange, red and yellow. Well my thoughts have been turning to the cooler weather and the crochet needle came out. I have a few new shrugs available that are great for an evening wrap or to layer over a long sleeve t later in the fall.
